Jill Zank and family

Jill Zank

Founder | Speech Language Pathologist | Owner

Jill Zank holds a Master of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from East Carolina University and maintains her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) with the American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA).  She has extensive training in working with children ages birth through middle school.  Jill is a wife and a mother of 2 beautiful girls.  In addition to her passion for speech and language,  she  enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, exercising, camping, cross country skiing and traveling.

Amy Sundheim

Applied Behavior Analyst

As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and a Nationally Certified School Psychologist, She has experience and training in autism identification and treatment that she integrates with her background in child development. She is also dedicated to supervising others in using a play-based model rooted in applied behavior analysis during treatment. She loves to collaborate with parents, school staff, and specialists around the state. When not at the clinic or in Homer-area schools, Amy can be found boating on the waters of Kachemak Bay, making concoctions in the kitchen, reading by the woodstove, and trying to keep up with her three busy kids.

Ally High

Office Assistant

Ally is a high school senior working part time at Changing Tides Therapy Services. She does everything from treatment prep to cleaning to social media and web design. She hopes to become a graphic designer after graduating high school.

Megan Connell

Registered Behavior Technician

Megan is a teacher with fifteen years’ experience working with individuals from age three to twenty-one in schools in Nome and across the Peninsula.  She has an English degree from Baldwin Wallace University in Cleveland, Ohio, and a Special Education degree from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.  She is currently working on completing her master’s and BCBA from the University of Cincinnati.  She believes learning should be joyful and that every individual deserves dignity and a voice.  During her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, skiing, trying to be a runner, and spending time with her three dogs, cat, husband, and friends.

Shaylee Woods

Shaylee Woods

Speech Language Pathologist

Shaylee Woods holds a Master of Science degree from Brigham Young University, and holds her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Shaylee worked previously as a school-based SLP in Utah, and has experience with augmentative/alternative communication, narrative language intervention, speech/articulation intervention, and dynamic language assessment. Shaylee enjoys reading, baking, fishing, camping, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and trying new things. 

Heather DiTaranto

Occupational Therapist

Heather holds a masters in occupational therapy from University of St. Augustine in St Augustine, and a BA in psychology from the University of New Orleans in NOLA. Heather is certified in low vision and sensory integration and have been passionate about helping children and families for the past twenty four years! She loves skiing, ice skating, animals and all things Alaska!

Savanna Paladino and family

Savanna Paladino

Registered Behavior Technician

Savanna Paladino has over 20 years of experience working in Early Childhood Education and with an Associates Degree, a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology with a special focus on Development and Learning and Behavior; she is joining the Changing Tides Team as an RBT (Registered Behavioral Technician). Savanna has special skills in meeting children where they are at to facilitate the MOST learning through connection and play. Savanna believes that children have so much to teach us about presence and learning about our broader human experience making her heart for learning, truly child led and play centered!  After 2 years working for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District with neurodiverse populations, Savanna has found a true passion in life skill building with Homer community children and is honored to join the gang at Changing Tides as an RBT! 

Amanda Ranttila

Occupational Therapist

Amanda Ranttila is a Board-Certified Occupational Therapist who received her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University in 2016. She has been working in pediatrics, focused on the ASD population within interdisciplinary settings for the past 7 years. Amanda also works in aquatic therapy with a variety of neurological diagnoses in children. She is currently working toward her Post-Professional Occupational Therapy Doctorate through Elizabethtown College, with an anticipated graduation date of December 2024. When she is not at work, Amanda enjoys running, relaxing with her cats, or traveling with her friends! Most recently they traveled to Iceland, where she was able to complete a bucket list item of seeing the Northern Lights!
