Andrea Young

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Andrea is an RBT who is enthusiastic about naturalistic, child-led learning through play. One of her favorite quotes is by Maria Montessori, “Play is the work of a child.” She believes, adults need to stop talking so much and hear what children are trying to say through their words and their actions. Her goal when helping kids is to be honor them, be intentional, and adapt to best meet their individual needs so they may grow to their fullest potential. She is also raising her three amazing boys, who teach her more about her personal foibles. Currently, Andrea is finishing her elementary education degree with hopes of getting her master’s in clinical mental health counseling. Away from work, you can find her beachcombing, propagating plants, reading, researching, and spending time with family and friends. She also dreams of authoring several books, having a luscious garden, starting a non-profit (or two), and perhaps raising some alpaca.
